Help with Videos
| The videos on this site are Windows Media videos: | |||
| Most of the videos on this site
last for 60 seconds or less. If you have a dialup connection, you will
have to wait about 10 minutes for a 60 second video to download to your
computer. When you download and view a
video the first time, the video's file is copied to a (browser) cache on
your computer. When you click to view the video at any later time, you
will have to wait only a few seconds for the video to start playing. A
good solution to this problem is to
make the video pages
available offline. |

|
If you cannot view the videos, you
may need to download and install the latest version of Windows Media Player. (A version of this player exists for use on Macintosh
computers.) |

Making the Video Pages Available Offline |
||||
|
If you have a high
speed internet connection, you will not need to do this.
After you make the video pages available
offline, you can view all the videos, without waiting more than a second or
so for them to appear. The procedure to do this involves
downloading all the video files
at once. (Downloading all the videos at once could take 4 to 5
hours, so you might want to go to work, go to sleep, etc. while you wait.)
